About this site

Propane Station Finder lists every public place to refill or exchange a propane tank in the United States, from government and open data, in one searchable list.

Each propane brand runs a locator that shows only its own stores. The Department of Energy keeps a national station list, but its map is built for alternative-fuel vehicles and leaves out the farm stores where most grill tanks get filled. This site puts those sources together, sorts them by distance from you, and shows the hours and phone number so you can call before you drive.

The site is independent. It is not affiliated with U-Haul, Tractor Supply, Blue Rhino, AmeriGas or any propane company, and no station pays to be listed. It is supported by advertising.

Mistakes in the data are fixed from reader reports. If a station has closed, changed hours or is missing, send a report. Details on each source are on the data page, and the contact page reaches the person who maintains the site.
